Rajiv Kapoor dies: Ranbir, Randhir performs last rites; Shah Rukh, Alia participate

Family, companions and driving Bollywood characters to say goodbye to entertainer chief Rajiv Kapoor, child of noted movie producer entertainer Raj Kapoor, as he was incinerated here on Tuesday night. Rajiv Kapoor, the most youthful among three siblings and two sisters - Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Ritu Nanda and Rima Jain, passed on in the early evening time following a coronary failure.
"He passed away about 1.30 pm due to heart attack," expert actor Randhir Kapoor told PTI former in the time. Rajiv Kapoor, recognised for flicks like "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" and "Lover Boy", was cremated in Chembur, an area in easterly Mumbai, around 7 pm.
Randhir Kapoor and relative, actor Ranbir Kapoor led the interment advance. Family and private associates from the cinema business obtained further consulted at Rajiv Kapoor's Chembur home to spend their last regards.
Actor Neetu Kapoor appeared including son Ranbir Kapoor at the late star's apartment. Ranbir Kapoor was following associated by his actor-girlfriend Alia Bhatt.
Aadar Jain, son of Rima Jain, forward with his rumoured lover, artist Tara Sutaria remained recognised as well. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, actors Sanjay Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Sonali Bendre, and Neil Nitin Mukesh were also in gathering at Rajiv Kapoor's apartment.
Some industry celebrities, including Lata Mangeshkar, Manoj Kumar, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, and family segments Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahani commiserated Rajiv Kapoor's passing on social media.
The Kapoor household lost Ritu Nanda including Rishi Kapoor last year in January and April, sequentially. Rajiv Kapoor started his temporary appearance with 1983 film "Ek Jaan Hain Hum", but made the initial impression as the first man in blockbuster "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" (1985), which was Raj Kapoor's latest directorial enterprise.
The collapse of Prem Granth dismayed Rajiv irreparably. He resigned the film industry and walked noiselessly to Pune. And now he is moved to an unidentified section.
