New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal’s health has deteriorated. He was rushed to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. The Union Ministry of Education will make a decision regarding the Class XII examination and Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal was expected to make an announcement in this regard today. Due to Ramesh Pokhriyal's health condition, today's decision regarding the 12th standard examination may be postponed. According to the information received, Pokhriyal has been infected with a corona. He has also been hospitalized due to post-Corona health problems.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had tweeted on April 21 that he was a corona positive. He also appealed to those who came in contact with him to test his corona. He had also said that the work of the Ministry of Education would continue as usual.
Today was going to be a big announcement regarding the 12th exams
The Union Ministry of Education will make a decision regarding the Class XII examination and Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will make an announcement in this regard today, sources had said. It was also reported that the Education Minister would brief Prime Minister Modi on the matter before making the announcement.
According to sources, the report prepared by the states so far has been submitted to the Prime Minister. The number of examination centres will be doubled. Preference will also be given to students aged 18 years and above, teachers assigned to centers, staff. Examinations will be conducted at the examination center following the corona rules.
Meanwhile, the 10th board exam has been cancelled this year due to corona infection. But the 12th board exams have only been postponed. However, it is being demanded that the 12th standard examination should also be cancelled and a decision should be taken as soon as possible. A petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the Class XII examination. Which was scheduled to be heard on Friday (May 28) last week, but was postponed. The petition was heard again today, which has been postponed once again. The next hearing on the petition is now scheduled for June 3.
The government had till June 1 to decide on the CBSE's 12th board exams. But now it is too late to make a final decision. The CBSE had earlier proposed to hold the 12th board examination between July 15 and August 26 and to announce the results in September. There was also talk that students would be given at least 15 days to announce the date of the exam. It was also proposed that only the main subjects should be examined or the time limit should be reduced by taking the examination according to the objective pattern.
