Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated musician Ricky Cage on receiving his second Grammy Award, calling it a "remarkable feat".

Cage, who lives in Bangalore, won a Grammy for Best New Album for "Divine Tides". He shares the award with Stewart Copeland.

"Congratulations on this remarkable achievement and best wishes for your future endeavors," PM Modi was quoted as saying by Post Cage on Twitter.

"Wow .. no wonder! Taking compliments from the Hon'ble Prime Minister himself! Thank you @narendramodiji, I hope I am proud of you. When I won my first Grammy Award 7 years ago, you put me on the path to environmental awareness and today I am here. Thank you for your blessing, "said Ricky Cage, thanking the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Indian singer Falguni Shah from New York who bagged her first Grammy Award for "A Colorful World" in the Best Children's Album category.

"Congratulations to Falguni Shah for winning the Grammy Best Children's Music Album award. Best wishes to her for her future endeavors," he tweeted on Tuesday morning.

At the 64th Grammy Awards, held at the MGM Grand Marquee Ballroom in Las Vegas, Cage greeted the audience as he greeted Copeland on stage to receive the iconic gramophone. The musician later shared a post on Instagram expressing his gratitude for his second victory. In 2015, he won a Grammy in the New Age Best Album category for "Winds of the World".
