"I want to be remembered as a perfect entertainer and versatile actor whose work makes some of the best films in our country," he says.
In the last few years, Ranveer Singh seems to have done a lot, showing his acting skills in various styles and characters - be it the darling son-neighbor-Bittu Sharma in the band. Procession (BBB); A fierce, fierce thief with a heart of gold among the robbers; Goliath or Raslila Ram-lila for his love in flaming Romeo; Bajirao the brave and magnificent Peshwa Bajirao of Mastani; Cool, humorous but internal struggle between Kabir Mehra, Dil Dhadakne Do; Alauddin Khilji, a deranged and fierce evil king, a corrupt cop with an emotional heart in Simba; Or a street boy, a big dreamer in Murad though insecure. On December 10, Singh is completing a decade in the film world by making his debut from BBB. We talk to the star about his most memorable milestones, his dreams, aspirations, rejection, and his journey to success, as well as his legacy of wanting to leave him as an artist.
At this point in your life and career, how do you look back on your decade-long journey? Some special stages?
Well, when I was selected for my first film, I wanted to reach the biggest stage. That moment is just unforgettable. It makes me smile. For someone with a background like mine, getting such a big break was beyond my imagination. These dreams (laughs) are made up. After this incredible turn of fate, it is a journey to learn, grow and develop as a creative person, an artist, and a public figure. With each passing year and each film, I've learned something about handicrafts, about myself, and I've always tried to improve myself and my set of skills. With every movie and character, I hope to get more. Hopefully, somewhere along the way, in the course of other people's 'becoming', I will be able to better understand myself. In fact, every experience and movie has made me a little richer. Therefore, I am extremely grateful for every opportunity.
